Mindy Botchuck
I am a Registered Medical Assistant and have been in the medical field for forty-five years. Since 2016 my mission has taken me to Behavioral Health where I work with mental health and recovery clients.
Working in mental health is a gratifying experience because I can give back to the community. Personally, the struggle with alcohol started when I was in my teens. In 2001, I began my journey to recovery in AA and Church. I have been sober for twenty three years. During this time, I have been growing in Christ and have a calling to Minister so I received my Associate in Divinity Degree in December 2022, and am currently working on a Bachelor ofDivinity Degree. There is an increasing need for mental health/recovery providers, therapists, and workers, because the number of people needing help is growing exponentially. 12 step programs have been a proven source of help to people who have the resolve to get clean and sober.
The reason I wanted to be a board member with the Alano Society is so, together, we can help build a better future for the Recovery community in the Manitowoc and surrounding area. We can make a difference.
